Starting Thursday You Can Get Tested For COVID-19 In The Czech Republic

Starting on the 23 of April from 10 am to 8 pm a study to determine the level of collective immunity in the Czech population against the disease caused by covid-19 will be organised.

Testing centers will be set up in multiple locations throughout the country, in Prague, Brno, and its surroundings, Olomouc its surroundings as well as in Litoměřice.

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE STUDY YOU NEED TO FIT THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

• People aged 18 to 89 (only in Prague and Brno children 8-17)
• People without acute health problems and symptoms of COVID-19
• People without a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19
• Citizens with permanent/temporary residence in the Czech Republic

THE TEST WILL PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:

• Temperature measurement
• Filling of Informed Consent form
• Completing of a short questionnaire
• Taking of a blood sample from the fingertip and performing a rapid test for the presence of antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus
• Results in as little as 15-20 minutes

If you test positive:

A swab test on the spot from the upper respiratory tract for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 (nucleic acid detection PCR test)
Quarantine will be recommended until the result is known
