On Tuesday, May 12th the National Gallery Prague will reopen three of its main location ( Trade Fair Palace, The Schwarzenberg Palac, and the Covent of St.Agnes of Bohemia.) All permanent and temporary exhibitions will be open following normal business hours. The most recent exhibitions will be extended.
Pandemic Hygiene and regulations will remain in place, people are required to wear face masks at all times, and staff can request for proper distancing to be maintained. Tickets will be available on sight but the National Gallery Prague recommends purchasing tickets online.
Due to the unforeseen event of early 2020 the exhibition schedule has been changed, current highlights of this year’s exhibitions are:
Rembrandt: Portrait of a Man, and Mikuláš Medek: Naked in the Thorns. Both exhibitions planned for autumn 2020 if everything will keep going as planned.
While under quarantine the NGP has created rich online activities and now offers several new formats to enjoy their collections. The online activities will continue despite the end of quarantine with the next big milestone being the new website launching during the second half of May.
