Kiky moved from Semarang (Indonesia) to Prague in 2015. Here is where she met her husband. She fell in love with the diversity of Prague and all the amazing events on offer.
However, she missed the cuisine of her home country Indonesia. So, what do you do, when you can´t just go to an Indonesian restaurant? You start cooking yourself. During her search for authentic ingredients, she stumbled across more people, who faced the same challenge. Soon, a network was formed, and the exchange of resources turned into recipes and in November 2017 the Cooking Club Prague took shape. Today, the club has more than 1,000 members. Every month, there are two classes during which authentic dishes are prepared together. During these classes, you can learn and get inspired by others. Typically, it takes places in a member´s kitchen, which also defines the number of participants. You can also expect regional delicacies instead of general national flavours. They also organize regular tasting dinners organized in authentic restaurants.
